Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 20, 2026
This policy explains what personal data Providence Crafts collects when you visit this site or contact us, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it. We collect as little as possible and we never sell it.
1. Who is responsible
Providence Crafts ("we", "us") is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. For any privacy matter you can reach us at hello@providencecrafts.com.
2. Data we collect
- Contact data you give us voluntarily: name, email address, company and the content of your message when you write to us or book a call.
- Scheduling data: when you book a meeting through our embedded calendar, the provider processes the date, time and details you submit on our behalf.
- Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, language, referring page and pages viewed, collected through server logs and analytics.
- Preferences stored locally in your browser, such as your language and light or dark theme choice.
We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16, and we do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects.
3. Why we use it and on what legal basis
- To answer your enquiries and prepare proposals — based on your request and steps taken prior to entering a contract.
- To deliver and support the services we have agreed — based on performance of a contract.
- To keep the site secure, stable and to understand aggregate usage — based on our legitimate interest in operating the site.
- To send project or service updates you have asked for — based on your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
- To comply with accounting, tax and other legal obligations.
4. Cookies and analytics
We use strictly necessary cookies and local storage to remember your language and theme preferences. Any analytics we run is configured to be privacy-friendly and aggregate. Non-essential cookies, if introduced, are only set after you consent, and you can change your choice at any time through your browser settings.
5. Sharing and processors
We do not sell or rent personal data. We share it only with service providers who process it on our instructions and under a data processing agreement — for example hosting and infrastructure, email delivery, scheduling and analytics providers — and with authorities where the law requires it.
6. International transfers
Some providers may process data outside your country. Where that happens we rely on adequacy decisions or on standard contractual clauses together with additional safeguards where they are needed.
7. How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a project are kept for up to 12 months. Client records are kept for the duration of the engagement and afterwards for the period required by applicable commercial and tax law. Technical logs are kept for a short period for security purposes.
8. Your rights
You can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interest. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing already carried out. Write to hello@providencecrafts.com and we will respond within the legal deadline. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
9. Security
We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including encryption in transit, access control on a need-to-know basis and regular review of our providers. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your data with the same care we apply to our own.
10. Changes
If we update this policy we will change the date above and, where the change is significant, we will tell you directly. Questions: hello@providencecrafts.com.
