Industrial Design

If the workshop has to call you with questions, the drawing was not finished.

CAD models, technical drawings and assemblies a manufacturer can quote and produce without calling you back.

  1. 3D modelling of parts & assemblies
  2. Technical drawings with tolerances
  3. Assemblies & interference checks
  4. Design for manufacturing
  5. Converting sketches & legacy drawings
  6. STEP, DXF and PDF files

A drawing is not a picture: it is a contract with whoever makes the part. Anything it leaves out, someone else decides.

TodayWith us

A sketch nobody can quote

A drawing that gets quoted as it stands

Tolerances taken for granted

Tolerances written where they matter

Every shop reads something different

Everyone quotes the same part

Parts do not fit at assembly

The assembly is checked in CAD first

Only whoever made the files can open them

Standard formats, and the source files are yours

Crossing to the right does not make manufacturing cheaper: material and machine hours cost what they cost. What it avoids is paying for the same part twice because the drawing could be read two ways.

  1. 01

    Call

You tell us what the part has to do and how you plan to make it. If there are sketches or drawings already, we start there.

  2. 02

    Modelling

A 3D model of every part and of the assembly, with the material and process decisions in plain view for you to sign off.

  3. 03

    Drawings

Technical drawings with dimensions, tolerances and finishes, and an interference check on the assembly before anything gets made.

  4. 04

    Handover

Source files and standard formats (STEP, DXF, PDF) ready to send to any shop, and we stay on hand for questions on the first quotes.

Before you book.

The questions that come up on almost every first call.

SolidWorks, AutoCAD or FreeCAD, depending on what whoever receives the files uses. If your shop or your team works with a specific one, we deliver in it; if not, in standard formats like STEP and DXF that any CAD program opens. What we will not do is leave you with files that only open with a licence you do not have.

Yes. A sketch, a few photos with measurements or a physical part that needs reproducing all work as a starting point. Whatever cannot be measured or worked out, we ask you before drawing it, instead of making it up and finding out when the part does not fit.

We advise on which process makes sense — machining, 3D printing, sheet metal, injection moulding — and design the part for it. If you need physical prototypes before committing to production, that is our prototyping service.

The source files are yours and built to be modified: parametric dimensions, not dead geometry. The change can be made by us or by any other drafter using the same software, without redrawing the part from scratch.

Still got one? Write to us and we will settle it before you book anything.
